Tell us about Savvy Interiors by Design and how the business began.

Creating Savvy Interiors by Design was a complete pivot for in the way of service although I had been involved in curating interiors and managing renovations for a very long time. I decided to package all my knowledge into a business that would be focused on assisting clients achieve the renovation of their dreams.

How has your business evolved since you first started?

Yes, what started as primarily focused on design has evolved into consulting during the entire renovation process and offering project management oversight services alongside my design work.

What challenges were you experiencing with your previous website or online presence?

The previous website was not describing my total service offer and I appeared to be a typical designer along with all the others in a saturated market. Not many other designers work with trade management and the financial dos and don’ts of a renovation. I have increased my skill set and knowledge by qualifying with a diploma in building and construction to place myself in a better position in advising clients. So, as you can see, I have become fully invested in my service to clients.

What were your main goals for the new website?

Visitors to my website to immediately understand my service offer rather than waste their time having to jump from one thing to another

What did you want potential clients to feel when they visited your website?

I wanted them to immediately feel at ease and confident they had found the answer to their payers and problems.

How important is it your online presence reflects the style and professionalism of your interior design work?

Important. I wanted to be consistent in my presence. Fresh, clear, up to date with a minimalist approach to reflect my consciousness of the value of time and money.

What aspects of the Savvy Interiors by Design brand were most important to communicate through the website?

Knowledge, systematic, a goal achiever with great systems in place to be of extreme value to potential clients.

How do you feel the refreshed website better represents your business and design philosophy?

Absolutely does. I worked very closely with Suzanna at every step so that she could understand my vison and what I wanted to communicate. She is already very talented at picking up on intention and I simply made sure I was always available to tweak what she had developed.

What was your experience like throughout the website design and development process?

Suzanna made everything seem easy. As I said she is excellent at understanding and intention and very willing to put forward her ideas.

How important was showcasing your portfolio and completed projects?

It is very important. Clients are very visual and consume with their eyes.

How easy was it to collaborate, share ideas, and provide feedback during the project?

Extremely easy

What part of the new website are you most proud of?

The landing page. It looks fabulous and I know Suzanna worked very hard to get it the way I wanted.

How does the new website help potential clients better understand your services and expertise?

I think now it is very straightforward at immediately addressing the problems prospective clients are wanting to solve.

How has the website supported your business goals since launch?

It is absolutely indicating my new direction and supports the development of a secondary website with the industry knowledge required to market purchasable documents clients can use to manage their renovations and design journeys

What impact has having a professional online presence had on your confidence as a business owner?

I feel very proud and authentic about my website now.

What did you appreciate most about working together?

Suzannas insatiable enthusiasm even though she manages a home and family of her. She works tirelessly without complaint and is completely humble in her approach. She is a great collaborator guiding ideas into a final product, nothing is too much trouble and I really don’t think she knows the meaning of the word NO

What are your goals for Savvy Interiors by Design over the next 12 months?

To continue to grow both Savvy interiors and Shaping Spaces.

How do you see the website supporting the future growth of your business?

I think it is going to be a great selling point for me now.

Are there any exciting projects or services on the horizon that you’d like to share?

Yes, I am helping to design a new studio apartment at the back of a property in trendy Fitzroy North and refurbishing a gorgeous apartment in the Docklands.

What would you say to another interior designer or service-based business considering a website refresh?
