How has your business evolved over the years?
The business evolution over the years has been a roll coaster with a steady trajectory upward. As a micro business and one person, navigating everything is overwhelming at times, which is when it is time to engage other businesses to do what they do best while we (I) do what I do best.
What made you decide it was time for a website refresh?
The website really needed added facets to show MORE of what is covered in my photography. When I engaged CYDM, my site was purely focused on the personal | business branding space. Prospective clients were seeking me out for wedding work and this highlighted a need to add to what existed.
What were your main goals for the project?
Without mixing too much of everything together, it was important to do a snapshot of what my photographic offerings are. To successfully achieve this I envisaged the entry page to be a clear dashboard which would take the visitor to the information they sought free of confusion.
What did you want visitors to feel when they landed on your website?
It is important visitors can easily navigate their around the site, gather the information they are after and feel at ease to reach out to ask questions, make informed bookings and have the initial landing leave a positive initial impact.
How important is your website as a portfolio and marketing tool?
My website is my digital shopfront and it opens the door for conversation and conversion into bookings. Keeping it current is a challenge and having a proactive “partner” to keep me on track is worth gold.
How important was it for the website to showcase both your photography style and professionalism?
The mix of great photography with professionalism is imperative and is a combination which really needs to be experienced in the flesh through a working engagement. By having a site which is fresh | easy to navigate and entices communication it is paramount for both me and the website visitors | prospective clients.
What aspects of your work did you most want to highlight through the new website?
My eye mostly. The whole world has cameras today and everybody works to outdo everybody with visions. Natural simplicity is the result of working me.
What was your experience like throughout the website refresh process?
Suzanna is very proactive. She always works to see the project result in the vision(s) I have.
How easy was it to collaborate and provide feedback during the project?
CYDM is always inviting feedback with open channels of communication throughout, and beyond!

To showcase another facet of work – and more to come.
What part of the refreshed website are you most pleased with?
The seamless look and addition to the original site. Having it completed and in the webiverse (my word) is great!
How does the new website better support your business compared to before?
Each refresh enables me to direct another genre of enquiry to a dedicated online space which is only about my offerings, free of social distractions.
Has the new website made it easier to showcase your work and services?
Yes.
What impact has the refresh had on your confidence in promoting your business online?
This part is forever ongoing – CYDM offer this service too I believe.
What stood out about the process and experience?
Suzanna’s proactivity, ability and action. She gets things done to spec and is always open to suggestion. She is a delight and great to work with.
Did the final result meet your expectations?
